ZIMBABWE HAS TURNED INTO A POLICE STATE

A police state, a state in which the government exercises rigid repressive controls over the social, economic and political life of the people.Such a state typically exhibits elements of totalitarianism and social control and there is usually little or distinction between the law and the exercise of political power something which Zimbabwe suffers from.

People inhabiting such countries expedience restrictions on mobility and their freedom to express, communicate political politically or other views which are subject to police monitoring or enforcement a good example being the latest disturbances in political rallies by the police :

20 March 2011 in Chitungwiza...the ZRP disrupted the MDC Chitungwiza Rally and beat up supporters including the Deputy Organising Secreatary Paul Linos Mushonga. The Police violently disturbed a rally that was scheduled for Area L in Chitungwiza and were carrying live ammunition assaulted the supporters. The brutality of a police state!
